Traveling Superintendent

Density is looking for a Superintendent to join and construction team in Florida.   Duties include: Leads all aspects of the company’s safety culture and creates awareness by demonstrating commitment to an injury-free environment through individual actions and mentoring others. Investigates safety incidents and retrains staff and needed. Provides management of subcontractors and organization of the overall job and workflow. Manages and oversees company staff, subcontractors, suppliers Develops work plans for subcontractors and self-performed work. Coordinates and manages the care, custody and control of the project site. Leads various meetings including daily standup and weekly trade meetings. Attends, manages and participates in appropriate progress and/or project OAC meetings. Creates, manages, changes and implements the project’s schedule as needed, in conjunction with the Project Manager. May be responsible for tracking and monitoring project budget and costs by using the project management system’s cost reports and data from the project manager. Communicates key project information to owners, design team, governing authorities, subcontractors, suppliers and other departments. Follows the project filing and documentation organization system as dictated for the project. Updates drawings, logs, diaries and inspection notebooks. Approves and/or records unit cost information for weekly reports and completes daily reports, logs and tracking reports. Evaluates progress on self-perform work and make adjustments as needed. Manages material and equipment needs for the project. Manages timecard approval process to ensure reporting of accurate hours and proper cost codes. Ensures quality compliance through use of specifications Supports the project closeouts by supervising pre-punch activities and coordinating activities with the owner, architect and governing authorities. Gains understanding of the project pursuit process and methodology. Participates with the field operations leadership and the project team to put together a project pre plan; implements, monitors and adjusts as needed throughout the project lifecycle. Partners with field leadership to establish field staffing for their assigned project. Partners with project management to identify schedule and costs associated with project changes. Participates in the negotiation process with the owner and architect to gain agreement for project changes. Participates with the project team in preparation and presentation for all project review meetings, including the monthly review process and other key project meetings. Participates in the project buy out meetings with subcontractors and vendors. Understands and applies the terms and conditions of the owner and subcontractor contracts for the project. Responsible for identifying and recruiting top talent. Requirements: Ten year experience as a Superintendent/Foreman for a mechanical contractor OSHA 30 Competent user of MS Office This position requires frequent jobsite visits to military bases that require background checks. Density is looking for an APM to join our construction team in Florida. Duties include: Identify and qualify subcontractors and vendors for assigned scopes of work. Prepare and send bid packages and invitations to bid. Receive and analyze bids; collaborate with the project manager on subcontract and purchase order negotiations. Maintain a purchase control log. Participate in design review meetings, focusing on scope, cost changes, and constructability. Handle project permit applications and tracking. Create detailed estimates and cost codes for cost control reporting. Collaborate with accounting for subcontractor and vendor payment processing. Update progress schedules, including short-term interval schedules. Assist in construction operation planning. Interact with clients per project manager directives. Manage submittals, maintain submittal log, and handle requests for information, procurement log and other documents Support superintendent/PM in subcontractor coordination, safety, and quality management. Duties include: Manage execution from inception to completion for assigned task orders including responding to RFPs Responsible for the overall planning, management, and execution of work for assigned construction projects Oversee daily field activities Interface directly with government representatives and coordinate performance with the Site Superintendent, in-house workforce and subcontractors to ensure quality and timely completion Oversee cost control and quality assurance; participate in value engineering services as appropriate Communicate with the general contractor  Responsible for working with Project Scheduler to maintain the project schedule Manage project materials and equipment procurement within the project’s budget constraints and consistent with the project delivery schedule Coordinate all final close-out procedures for the project including as-built drawings, punch lists, final billing, occupancy permit, owner acceptance, project manuals, warranty letters, subcontractor close out, letter of substantial completion, and letter of beneficial occupancy. Minimum Requirements Bachelor of Science degree in Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering, or related Engineering field. Fifteen years or more of experience in commercial construction project management in HVAC and plumbing field Five years or more of direct supervisory experience. Experience with project manager software (Constructware, P6, Timberline, etc.). Experience with cost projection, financial analysis, budget reviews, labor reports. Density LLC is looing for a dedicated plumber/pipefitter to join our growing team. The position is full time during typical daytime hours – Monday thru Friday. We are offering competitve pay and benefits. Responsibilities:– Assemble, install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems and fixtures in commercial buildings – Maintain accurate records of material and labor used. – Inspect plumbing systems and accurately identify issues.– Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine the layout of plumbing systems– Cut, thread, and bend pipes using hand tools or machines– Join pipes using various methods such as soldering, welding, or mechanical fittings– Test plumbing systems for leaks and ensure they meet building codes and standards– Install and repair fire sprinkler systems– Collaborate with other construction professionals to ensure proper coordination of plumbing installations and effetive project completion times.– Follow safety protocols, building codes and maintain a clean work area. Qualifications:– 5 years minimum experience as a plumber or pipefitter– Knowledge of plumbing codes and standards– Proficient in using hand tools such as wrenches, pliers, and pipe cutters– Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and schematics– Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills– Familiarity with fire sprinkler fitting is a plus– Ability to operate equipment such as calipers and rigging equipment– Excellent attention to detail and ability to work independently or as part of a team – Journeyman plumber ‘Duval county’ License preffered. – Foreman level employees will recieve a company truck. – Experience working in military bases is preffered.
